All geographic data are either unprojected (i.e. latitude and longitude) or projected in some coordinate system, like UTM, or a State Plane etc.
Raster data in Tarsier have a Projection property, which can be set from the Raster menu.
The projections can sometimes be typed in as text, but they are stored as numerical values, as follows:
- -1 = Latitude and Longitude = "latlon"
- 0 = UTM with an un-specified zone
- positive integers = UTM, with the zone specified by the integer
- there are others, like GIH, and Sinusoidal - <documentation needed>
