Summary
The Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA) Regional Treatment plant is located two miles north of Marina and serves 250,000 people in Monterey County.[1] The Monterey Peninsula Water Management District (MPWMD), Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA), and California American Water Company (CalAm) have proposed using effluent from the Regional Treatment Plant as a water source for the Monterey Peninsula Groundwater Replenishment Project.
