How to do a Screen Grab
From CCoWS Wiki
- Firstly, grab the contents of the screen to an image on the Clipboard:
- Look on your keyboard for the key that says "Prt Scr".
- It depends on the keyboard, but on mine, I hold down both CTRL and SHIFT and then press "Prt Scr".
- At that moment, whatever was on the screen will now be an image on the Clipboard.
- Secondly, paste the Clipboard image to a file:
- This varies depending on which image manipulation software you have available
- In Adobe Photoshop (installed on CSUMB machines):
- Open Photoshop
- Select 'File --> New' top create a new image file. Photoshop will automatically size this image file to match your Clipboard image
- Select 'Paste'
- Optional: Use the Crop Tool in Photoshop to crop out the bit you want.
- Save the file, usually as a PNG or JPG if you plan on emailing it.
