Summary

California American Water Company (CalAm) is a private water supply and distribution company for the majority of the southern Monterey Bay. [1]

History

In 1965 CalAm purchased the Monterey Peninsula's water system and water rights. This purchase included both the San Clemente Dam and Los Padres Dam withing The Carmel River Watershed. [2]
