Carmel River Lagoon

The Carmel River Lagoon is located on the Central Coast of California, at the end of the 255 square mile Carmel River Watershed. When the sand bar is breached, the lagoon empties into Carmel Bay, part of the federally protected Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
