Major development of Tarsier software and EcoViz approach e.g. at EcoViz:Yellowstone, with large funding e.g. from NASA

2008

Proved concept that applied visualizations can be delivered to real clients at low cost ($5K - $10K)

Semester goal for Spring 2009

Where applicable, direct class projects toward the EcoViz:SEP Vision and Carmel Bay Focus Site

Annual goal by end of 2009

Make Tarsier software more user-friendly, so that GIS-savvy CSUMB students can learn to use it just as they learned to use ArcMap. Train test-pilot students to use Tarsier, with equivalent-time help from EcoViz technical team.

GIS-savvy non-CSUMB folks can learn to use Tarsier just as they learned to use ArcMap
