Summary
Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge Complex, located in Southern California. The complex is home to the following national wildlife refuges:
- Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge (HMNWR)
- Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge (BCNWR)
- Blue Ridge National Wildlife Refuge (BRNWR)
- Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes National Wildlife Refuge (GNDNWR)
Equipment
- Condor release pens
Visitor Services
- Hopper Mountain NWR is closed to the public, however they will do guided events no bigger than 40 people[1].
- Bitter Creek NWR is closed to the public, due to the sensitive nature of the California condor[2].

- California Condor Recovery Plan (USFWS 1984)
- Blue Ridge Habitat Management Plan (USBLM 1985)
- Draft Management Plan for the Blue Ridge Ecological Reserve (CDFG 1983), developed for California Department of Fish and Game (Now California Department of Fish and Wildlife) land acquisition.
Cooperative Agreements and MOUs
- All partners involved in the recovery of the California condor operate under permits through the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).
