MRWPCA Regional Treatment Plant
The Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA) Regional Treatment plant is located two miles north of Marina and serves 250,000 people in Monterey County. The Monterey Peninsula Water Management District (MPWMD), Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA), and California American Water Company (CalAm) have proposed using effluent from the Regional Treatment Plant as a water source for the Monterey Peninsula Groundwater Replenishment Project.
