Overview

The Monterey Peninsula Water Project (MPWP) will consist of a series of slant wells[1] designed to pump water to a desalination facility in Marina. Current water (% use) in Monterey County stems from water which has been illegal obtained (citation). This project will prevent the legality problem of water...

Costs

The MPWP has an estimated cost of $277 million[1]. These costs will be allocated to subsurface intake systems and supply return facilities($51M), a desalination plant ($95M), pipeline facilities ($131M), and pre-construction costs ($8M)
