Potential Organizations for NHA

National Park Service

The National Park Service cares for Pinnacles National Park, located in the Salinas Valley. Created in 2013, Pinnacles National park covers 26,606 acres with elevations between 824 to 3304 feet.

The entirety of Pinnacles National Park lies within the current range of the California Condor as stated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The National Parks services role in the California Condor NHA would be critical, allowing organizations to receive essential information on the Condor within Pinnacles and steps they have taken to preserve the bird.

BLM

Bureau of Land Management (BLM) works on and has responsibility for much of the land contained by the CCNHA range. Their work in recreation sites, fire perimeters, national recreation sites, and the many other responsibilities they cover would allow vital information that would assist the CCNHA.

NOAA

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) ’s knowledge and research on ocean health would contribute important information for the ccNHA. Their knowledge of the sea and coastal regions provides important information that would assist the CCNHA.
