An environmental summary created by the ENVS 560/L Watershed Systems class at CSUMB.

Roberts Lake is a freshwater lake located in the city of Seaside, and within the Canyon del Rey Watershed. It was formerly an estuary but the development of construction and fill for local highways removed any saltwater influence. The lake is named after Dr. John Roberts a founder of the city [1] It is connected to Laguna Grande. The lake provides habitat for local waterfowl, including the rare Heermann's Gull [2]
