Santa Cruz Mountains

The Santa Cruz Mountains border the northern end of the Salinas Valley and Monterey Bay in California. The highest point in the range is Loma Prieta (3786 ft; 1154 m), near the epicenter of the 6.9 magnitude Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989[1].
