First of a sequence of photos as the breach begins...
First flow
Last light of the first night. This breach re-closed that night.
The next afternoon, and a larger flow keeps the breach open.
Just after dark on the 2nd night.
A day or so later - more flow and a wider, lower-gradient channel.
