Obtaining data from glovis
- Go to the glovis website http://glovis.usgs.gov/
- Select Landsat ETM+ SLC-on as the sensor (dates will be about 1999-2003).
- Click the View Images button.
- The USGS Global Visualization Viewer will open in a pop-up window. If it doesn't come up you might need to configure your browser to accept pop-ups from USGS. You can find info on how to do this searching the help of your specific browser.
- Browse to your area of interest. You can do this by clicking on the map or imputing the latlon coordinates.
- Browse for a scene with minimal cloud cover and snow. Choose a month when there is contrast between trees and grass, usually this happens in Oct or September.
