The Role of Environmental Consultants

Environmental consultants are generally hired by private, commercial, or public clients to assist in environmental assessments and regulation compliance. The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) is the predominant environmental regulation that environmental consultants in California are hired to ensure compliance with, usually in the form of preparation of or contribution to an Environmental Impact Report (EIR). Additionally, environmental consultants provide various services to inform and advise clients about their unique requirements to maintain regulation compliance.
